Parables

"If we walk in the park of the little sisters disciples of the Lamb, we discover the great oaks and, hidden in the kindling, before the priory, pretty little periwinkles. The little sisters will tell you the parable of oaks and periwinkles.

We can be observed in the nature a lot of many different things; there are great noble and majestic trees, beautiful fruit trees, and then there are also the wild flowers, small wild flowers aisles.

Large trees are useful! The oaks, for example, give the wood that makes beautiful boards, planks, furniture prices. Fruit trees bear fruits, it is their role, their contribution in nature.

But the wild flowers? They are not very helpful, not very serious, not very practical. What do they do then? Oh ! A few things; they are fine, discrete, often they feel good. They are spots of colour in the fields and the woods, which would be without them a little monotonous. Yea, verily, they used to be beautiful, to be loved, to make small bouquets. And they serve to bees. And when a periwinkles bouquet arrives in a room, it is the oak table wearing it! But it is the bouquet that looks and creates a gentle atmosphere. Oh ! of course, in the world of serious things, oak and walnut have much more importance than smaller flowers.

Yet the sun splashes all its oak beams, walnut and violets. The rain without any difference, water the tall trees and little flowers.

Why tell this parable? Well because the kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit and divine graces are the sun and rain of divine Love. And the Little Sisters Disciples of the Lamb who receive you today are the flowers of the field of God.

We believe in this Word, we believe in the infinite tenderness of the Father ... ... infinite infinite! Do not doubt, though our view of intelligence, our human thoughts are foreign to the Holy Spirit, Spirit of Love, which is the invisible sap of the poor.

Yes, it is natural that God prefers the humble, the Little Sisters Disciples of the Lamb and those who resemble them, as Jesus, his beloved Son, was identified each of them: "This is why, anyone will like to this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, and whoever gets in my name a little child like this myself receives me. " (Mt 18.4 to 5).

The Wind song

When you walk in the small oak woods, close to the chapel, often the wind blows gently ... "And if we listen silently, without reject, humbly, and in the great respect, then we will hear the wind speak to us. He sings us a beautiful song. Our brother the wind blows gently. He is poor, pilgrim in this world, still wandering and fading. He carries in his destitution rich seeds of Creation. He sowed and he passed. Without worrying about where it could fall, knowing nothing of his labour. He just sow, and he did it with prodigality. Attached to anything, it is as free as the vast space. And it blows where it will, in the image of the Lord's Spirit, as it says in Scripture. "

This beautiful song is also a discreet and humble image of our dear Little Sisters. Maybe they are injured in their intelligence, but the soul, the heart is not disabled. Our Lord has filed many hidden treasures to the world ... By their joyful consecration, our Little Sisters remind the world today how all life is precious in the eyes of our good Father in Heaven and also that all life, even injured, has a meaning and a true sense. Yes, we have been created for many great things ... love and be loved, and for this in many things, our dear Little Sisters are examples, they help us every day, and their lives "given" to the Lord, with their prayers, they help many people, yes, they sow largely on our good earth, showing us the Way of Heaven, and the source of true joy is to forget always to please.

Testimony of Father Philippe Marie:

The small sisters disciples of the Lamb

Perched on a hill with the Creuse flowing at his feet, after climbing a winding road, come a family home. We immediately grasped that it is a family of a particular genre that lives on the plot. Extending the house and overlooking the road, a pretty hut-shaped chapel invites curious visitors to enter. Through the door, the eye is drawn to the choir, bathed in soft light, which opens, into a huge picture window, on the greenery, preserving carefully its fragile treasure. Some veiled silhouettes, in adoration before the silent Presence that is the Life of this place, waiting for me to Mass. After donning the vestments, I walk down the aisle with emotion. The Little Sisters Disciples of the Lamb accompany Him daily in His Way of the Cross and Resurrection. Most of them have something more than ordinary religious: an extra chromosome! Among these Little Sisters with Down syndrome, we have the feeling of being in a china shop. Their fragility gently invites the sweetness. At the same time, we find a fruitful richness and a strength of pure hearts. They have as spiritual guide the popular saint of Lisieux who taught the little path that leads to Jesus. We would like prayer long, long time, as we are borne on the wings of innocence. In the infinite variety of religious communities of our church, they take a small place, well hidden, discreet, and so deliciously unexpected.

They carry in their flesh the stigmata of the sufferings of the Passion of Jesus. Disciples of the Lamb, they immolate themselves with Him, with no illusions about their vulnerability. But it is precisely this assumed vulnerability who makes them so valuable to our century, puffy utility of pretension and self-sufficiency. We dive with her in a spiritual rejuvenating the antithesis of a world prematurely aged deleterious experiences in a vain quest for eternal youth culture. Which authenticates their spiritual search, it is the ineffable smiles that greet you with a joy drawn from the source, a sign that they already taste the first fruits of true Life. Their very being, given existence, are a wonderful expression of the entire Paschal mystery that simultaneously gives us the Cross and the Resurrection of the Lord. Their non-accusatory testimony allows us to ask ourselves a look that captures our own weaknesses to expose them to the redeeming love. For them, appears in full light of divine mercy, which is satisfied with the loving offering of our poor boundaries, so they are transfigured in the power of the Cross and charity produce fruit.

So we are going to tread in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus, sacrificed as a ransom for our sins and rose again that we might have life, these Little Sisters remind us that we are all disciples of the Lamb through our baptism. And He died on the Cross, it is precisely because he did not disdain to address our shortcomings and sins. In the hollow of our misery springs the source of true joy, the joy of knowing that we desperately loved by the heavenly Father who gave His Son for us. The darkness of Good Friday and Holy Saturday to Easter Light mutate in which now all hope is permitted. Even when the man persists in committing suicide by blindly developing a culture of death by laws against nature and against God, life does not count and let resists. The triumph of Satan and darkness is only apparent. Only Jesus Christ died and rose has the last word. Our Little Sisters of the Lamb is a prophecy of the Love and Life. How not to give thanks with them the joy of Easter that no one can ever take from us (Jn 16, 22)!

Their very being, given existence, are a wonderful expression of the entire Easter mystery that simultaneously gives us the Cross and the Resurrection of the Lord.
